You’ll find no other park similar to the Gardens by the Bay, Singapore, featuring the best of horticulture, sustainability and architectural design. Winner of several world awards like The International Architectural Awards 2013, Breakthrough Contribution to Tourism, Singapore 2013, these gardens have lots to explore by tourists of all age groups.
From diverse plant life in the award winning Cooled Conservatories to towering vertical gardens extending into the skies, the Gardens by the Bay have also been labelled as 10 of the world’s best indoor gardens.
The shell-shaped, twin glass domes, with their unique architecture are visible from several key places of Singapore – these are the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest.
Flower Dome – – enter a world of perpetual spring and experience cool, lush conditions of sub-tropical Mediterranean region at the Flower Dome. From tulips to palm trees and olive groves, an array of 30,000 fragrant trees, flowers and plants from over 150 species blooming under one roof! The dome houses nine different gardens. You’ll be enchanted to find something as rare as the African Baobabs and thousand year old olive trees too.

The Flower dome is among the world’s largest glass greenhouse and has the distinction of being in the Guinness World Records 2015. Synchronizing with the ever changing seasons of the year, the impressive floral arrangement here change. During festivals and cultural events as well, there are fresh, innovative flower displays.
For instance, beginning from February 23rd 2021, and to welcome the new cherry blossom season, the domes were decked up in beautiful, pink sakura flowers. And the most recognized character around being hello kitty! Then there is the Autumn Harvest, Mid-Autumn Festival , Tulip mania and Singapore National Day.
Cloud Forest – highlights of the Cloud Forest are amazing Cloud Walk, Treetop Walk and the world’s tallest Indoor Waterfall (3.5 meters). Here you’ll find nearly 60,000 plants from tropical highlands, 2000 meters above sea level.
These walks take wide-eyed tourists above, on suspended bridges, as if you’re literally walking amongst clouds . Or you have an option of trekking behind the waterfalls, in a refreshingly cool forest canopy, savoring breathtaking bird’s eye view around. You’ll also come across fascinating Crystal Mountains, close by.

Super Tree Grove and Skyway, has the most unique design. A delightful visual and audio, light and musical event in the evenings, keeps visitors entertained at this Garden of Rhapsody. The super trees seem straight from a sci-fi movie, rising up to 23 meters into the sky. An exceptional example of a fusion of nature, art and technology!
Considering it takes a minimum of four to five hours for a full tour of the Gardens by the Bay, you surely need a meal break. For the convenience of tourists, there are eateries in the vicinity, for visitors to rest and recharge.
